IMPACT Team Participates at the U.S. Greenhouse Gas Center Leadership Meeting at NASA Headquarters

Manil Maskey, Deborah Smith, and Jeanne' le Roux (ST11) from the Interagency Implementation and Advanced Concepts Team (IMPACT) recently attended a meeting with NASA leadership at NASA HQ. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the development of the data system for the US Greenhouse (GHG) Center, a project led by the IMPACT team. Collaborating with key government partners: the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), NASA, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the IMPACT team has been actively involved in deploying and configuring the Visualization, Exploration, and Data Analysis (VEDA) platform for the GHG Center. The platform has been equipped with initial capabilities, and during the meeting, the team showcased these capabilities to the NASA leadership. The demonstration included presenting greenhouse gas relevant datasets and information. The NASA leadership provided valuable feedback, further enhancing the development process. Additionally, the IMPACT team had the opportunity to conduct a face-to-face meeting with the EPA GHG Center leadership during the same occasion. The public launch of the GHG Center is scheduled for September 2023, marking a significant milestone for the project and its stakeholders.
