SERVIR Hosts Visit by SERVIR West Africa User Engagement Lead

From 6/21-23/23, the SERVIR Science Coordination Office (SCO) hosted a visit from Pierre Sibiry Traore, the SERVIR West Africa hub’s User Engagement Lead from the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). During his time visiting the SERVIR SCO, Traore was able to explore additional linkages between SERVIR West Africa and the broader SERVIR network, meeting with the different thematic leads at the SCO, as well as the respective Regional Science Coordination Leads for other regions. Traore also delivered presentations on some of the current efforts ongoing at the SERVIR West Africa hub, including pioneering work in a new service area for financial instruments and services (FIS). Following  Traore’s visit to the SCO, he participated in the 9th Global Workshop of the Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project (AgMIP). That workshop was hosted by a SERVIR West Africa consortium member, the Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) at Columbia University.
