On 5/12/23, Brian Freitag (ST11) presented a live demonstration of the VEDA platform to the NASA Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) and SERVIR science teams to identify potential collaborations. The demonstration focused on the VEDA platform’s exploration and analysis capabilities and different user engagements with the VEDA services. Collaboration opportunities identified in the meeting include dataset contributions by the science teams into the VEDA cloud-optimized data catalog, cloud resources made available by VEDA to support algorithm development and collaboration within the science teams, and communication of science outcomes through VEDA to a general audience. These collaborations are another example of VEDA supporting the Earth science community within NASA and serve as the first major collaboration for VEDA within the Earth Science Branch at Marshall Space Flight Center.
