Pontus Olofsson (ST11) co-authored a paper titled Near real-time monitoring of tropical forest disturbance by fusion of Landsat, Sentinel-2, and Sentinel-1 data which has been accepted for publication in Remote Sensing of Environment. The paper showcases a method based on time series analysis of both optical and SAR data for achieving timely detection of tropical forest disturbance. The study was funded by Olofssonās grants from the NASA Carbon Monitoring System and NASA SERVIR.
