Mitzi Adams (ST13) attended the 100th meeting of the Alabama Academy of Science, held in Birmingham at Samford University, 3/8-10/23. In addition to a presentation titled, The Sun and the Tale of Two Eclipses, Adams participated in mentoring and a judging activity of posters created by high-school seniors. Judging consisted of individual presentations by each student, followed by individual interviews. A student mentored by Heidi Haviland, Paul Bremner, and Mitzi Adams, won the competition in her category of physical science for high-school juniors (Adams was not involved in judging those students).
