The Brazilian Technical Institute for Aeronautics (ITA) performed X-Band link tests at Cachoeira Paulista to validate the science data download; the tests objectives were achieved, the downlink channel was tested, and data sent by the transmitter were received and decoded on ground. SPORT submitted a COVID Impact augmentation request to the Heliophysics Flight Program and received verbal confirmation that it was approved. The Project worked with NASA HQ Office of International and Interagency Relations (OIIR) to get approval for the ITA Team to travel directly to the US to deliver the SPORT Observatory and perform post-delivery functional testing; approval was granted by the US Consulate General São Paulo as a National Interest Exception (NIE).
