On 8/19/21, the Interagency Implementation and Advanced Concepts Team (IMPACT) project the Multi-Mission Algorithm and Analysis Platform (MAAP) completed the data ingest of the ICESat-2 ATL03 V004 (Geolocated Photon Data) granules into the MAAP version of the CMR. This subset of the dataset covered the boreal forest region of North America for the summer 2020 and contained 7,270 granules. This was a major accomplishment as one of the MAAP UWG members, Laura Duncanson of the University of Maryland, College Park, will use this data in her boreal biomass mapping research. Duncanson also plans to present this data and research to international stakeholders at the COP26 in November 2021.
