NASA’s TOPS program published a blog on their website highlighting how the Science Discovery Engine (SDE) operates as a key component of NASA’s Open Source Science Initiative (OSSI). The article described how the SDE, currently in beta version, is creating access to all of NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD)’s open science data and information. The blog also featured recent enhancements to the SDE user interface and capabilities currently in development, including a specialized search interface for environmental justice content and advanced search techniques enabled by large language models.
