Book Titled “Vegetation Fires and Pollution in Asia” by Krishna Vedrevu and Others Published

The book "Vegetation Fires and Pollution in Asia" authored by Krishna Prasad Vadrevu (ST11), Toshimasa Ohara, and Chris Justice, has been published by Springer, see https://lnkd.in/e8rHcXUu. The book showcases the research contributions of over 120 esteemed researchers from South and Southeast Asia, as well as the US. It covers a wide range of fire-related topics and is organized into 35 different chapters in three distinct sections: "Mapping, Monitoring, and Modeling of Vegetation Fires," "Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Air Pollution," and "Air Pollution Modeling and Decision Support Systems." The book is the result of collaborative research efforts from various researchers in Asia and the US carried out as part of the South/Southeast Asia Research Initiative (SARI), which Vadrevu has been leading. The book will serve as a valuable reference for researchers, policymakers, and individuals interested in vegetation fires, pollution, and management.
