Rahul Ramachandran (ST11) was the spotlight speaker in the "What's Next in AI for Business: Foundation Models, Large Language Models and Generative AI" session at IBM’s premiere event. Think 2023 is hosted by IBM and their partners to bring together business and technical leaders across multiple industries to explore strategies, share ideas, and learn more about new technological innovations. NASA and IBM Research are currently exploring the use of a foundation model for analyzing geospatial data. The model was unveiled at the event and running on IBM’s watsonx.ai platform. Kevin Murphy, Chief Science Data Officer at NASA HQ, also spoke at the event about the current partnership and Manil Maskey (ST11) was also in attendance to support the work accomplished thus far.
