Participation in National AI Research Resource (NAIRR) Pilot Interagency Working Group

Manil Maskey (ST11) from the Interagency Implementation and Advance Concepts Team (IMPACT) participated in the NAIRR Pilot Interagency Working Group meetings. This working group, jointly chaired by the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and the National Science Foundation (NSF), is currently developing an implementation plan for the National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource (NAIRR). NAIRR aims to establish a national cyberinfrastructure that democratizes access to resources and tools necessary for artificial intelligence (AI) research and development (R&D). By expanding access, the initiative seeks to involve a broader range of researchers in AI, foster diverse approaches and applications of AI, and create opportunities to advance AI R&D across various scientific fields and disciplines. This includes critical areas such as AI auditing, testing and evaluation, bias mitigation, and security.
