Work continues on the Mirror Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) upgrades at the XRCF. XRCF engineers have approved drawings for the MGSE, clearing Moog to proceed with fabrication. Meanwhile, the MSFC Nonmetallic Materials & Space Environmental Effects Branch (EM41) is evaluating MGSE materials selected by Moog for compatibility with the vacuum environment. Preparations continue for the XRCF optical axis Metrology Demonstration Test (MDT-1) with Kratos in June.
