Two publications lead-authored by UAH/IMPACT Mark Parsons and Ge Peng, respectively, were highlighted by the ESIP leadership at the closing plenary of the ESIP Winter Meeting 2023 (WM23). Mark and Peng support the SMD Standards Working Group. Both publications are outcomes of their involvement with ESIP which is primarily supported by NASA, NOAA, and USGS. Mark and Peng also co-chaired a joint WM23 session between the ESIP Open Science Cluster (Mark co-chairs) and Information Quality Cluster (Peng co-chairs), titled: Open Science and Information Quality Across ESIP, to explore what information quality attributes are important to different communities in terms of how they encourage trust and openness.
