Rahul Ramachandran and Manil Maskey (IMPACT/ST11) authored an article entitled “Investigating Different Data-Traceability Approaches to Prevent Data Swamps” published in the September 2022 issue of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Magazine. For the scientific community and data providers, the notions of authoritative and trusted sources of data are changing due to the adoption of cloud computing. This article discusses a set of data traceability studies that the IMPACT team conducted to explore different technical approaches to potentially address the issue of authoritative data.
