On 8/24/21, the version 2 HLS data products were made available for public access by the Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC). The Interagency Implementation and Advanced Concepts Team (IMPACT) collaborated with NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) and the USGS to correct data quality issues in previous HLS versions and improve the algorithm to produce a science quality data product. The release of science quality products will support NASA and a number of other federal agencies in tracking agricultural and vegetation health, and other land surface monitoring applications.
