On 8/5/21, a Chandra image entitled “V404 Cygni: Huge Rings Around a Black Hole” was released to the public. This image features a spectacular set of eight rings around a black hole, captured using NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory and Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory. The X-ray images of the giant rings reveal information about dust clouds located in our galaxy and around black holes. For more information visit:
