MSFC Scientists Publish SAR Article Assessing Quality of Multiple RTC Products

Africa Flores-Anderson and Helen Parache co-authored together with scientists from the SERVIR Science Coordination Office (SCO), Vanesa Martin, Stephanie Jimenez, Kelsey Herndon, Stefanie Mehlich, Amanda Markert, and Emil Cherrington, Alaska Satellite Facility (ASF), Google and Spatial Informatic Group (SIG) published the paper: Evaluating SAR Radiometric Terrain Correction (RTC) Products: Analysis-Ready data for Users. This work evaluates various Sentinel-1 C-band analysis ready products across 10 sites distributed globally for (1) radiometric calibration, (2) geometric corrections, and for (3) geolocation quality and it provides useful insights to users of SAR polarimetric data about the relative quality of RTC datasets created using multiple software packages.
