Aaron Kaulfus and Brian Freitag (ST11) supported an on-site visit on 7/27-28/23 by a NASEM committee to review MSFC workforce, infrastructure, and capabilities most relevant towards NASA’s 2022 Strategic Plan. As part of on-site reviews of all NASA centers, the NASEM committee toured MSFC facilities and held listening sessions with civil servants to better understand the current and future needs of the workforce and technologies so that recommendations could be developed on how to ensure alignment with NASA’s mission objectives. Freitag participated in an early career listening session with the committee and Kaulfus provided an overview of data science activities within the Earth Science Branch.
