SERVIR Represented in NASA Earth Day Live Shots

On 4/21/23, the SERVIR Science Coordination Office’s Africa Flores-Anderson and Emil Cherrington (ST11) participated in NASA’s Live Shots interviews at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in commemoration of Earth Day (4/22/23). Africa and Emil participated in eight interviews with a host of US and international media houses, discussing how NASA research contributes to a better understanding of the Earth as a system. In addition to highlighting the role of SERVIR in their interviews, SERVIR was also highlighted in the Live Shots interviews by Katherine Calvin, NASA's Chief Scientist and Senior Climate Advisor. NASA Applied Sciences Program Director Lawrence Friedl and NASA Capacity Building Program Manager Nancy Searby also gave Live Shots interviews.
