Emily Berndt (ST11) was invited to give an invited presentation to the Satellite Book Club Seminar Series sponsored by NOAA's Office of Observations, TOWR-S (Total Operational Weather Readiness-Satellites) program, and the GOES-R/JPSS Satellite Proving Grounds. Berndt presented on research and applications related to SPoRT's projects involving multispectral imagery derived from the Advanced Baseline Imager on the NASA/NOAA GOES-16 satellite. The presentation highlighted research related limb-correction and intercalibration of imagery to improve multispectral composite imagery as well as the development and examples of the DustTracker-AI product. Nearly 70 attendees participated in the seminar and a portion of the event included discussion with stakeholders who benefit from the products SPoRT develops and disseminates.
