Adam Kobelski and Mitzi Adams participated in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) event at Heritage Elementary in Madison, AL on February 13, 2023. The two scientists staffed a table of handouts and demos, flanked by two banners: Heliophysics and Planetary Science and Eclipse-viewing Safety, complementing the Von Braun Astronomical Society’s telescope observing. A majority of the ST13 effort emphasized the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse that will be visible from Texas to Maine. The path of totality for this eclipse will allow access to 2.5 times the population than the 2017 eclipse.
