Our proposal entitled "Amplitude and Coherence Change Detection Applications for Assessing Damage from Severe Weather Events Using ICEYE X-band SAR Imagery" was selected for funding under the ROSES 2022 A.43, new CSDA Vendor Onramp Evaluation solicitation, where Disasters Team participants will help NASA understand whether and how X-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data from Iceye can be used to examine impacts from meteorological disaster events. Andrew Molthan (ST11) will serve as the PI, and Jordan Bell (ST11) will have a unique early career opportunity to serve as the overall assessment lead for Iceye evaluations submitted across NASA and selected by the solicitation. Evaluation of the data will be assisted by Disasters Team participants Hannah Pankratz and Alex Melancon (UAH) who have a growing suite of disasters-thematic experience with remote sensing through their work in the team and various projects.
