SERVIR Hosts Visit by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Central America Regional Mission

NASA and USAID are currently working toward the development of a SERVIR hub for Central America, as was announced by USAID in late 2021 in the lead up to the 26th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Toward that end, from 2/6-9/23, the SERVIR Science Coordination Office (SCO) hosted a visit by Luis Ramos, an Environment Specialist of the Central America and Mexico regional mission of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). As part of Ramos’ visit, he was able to learn more about the activities of the SERVIR SCO and SERVIR’s network of regional hub organizations. Ramos also participated on behalf of USAID in the kickoff event for SERVIR’s fourth cohort of Applied Science Team projects.
