SERVIR Participates in 2020 American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting

During this year’s AGU Fall Meeting, held as a hybrid (virtual and in-person) event December 12-16 in Chicago, Illinois, SERVIR convened a total of 27 sessions. All of these sessions were co-organized with organizations outside of NASA, both international and domestic. The sessions collectively included a total of 77 oral presentations, 100 posters, and 26 online posters. In addition, a SERVIR Town Hall on ‘SERVIR’s Approach to Integrating Open-Source Science into Co-development of Earth Observations-Based Services for Climate Adaptation’ was convened by Ashutosh Limaye, with Dan Irwin, Falguni Patadia, and NASA Capacity Building Program Manager Nancy Searby serving as co-conveners. The Town Hall brought together a dialogue of global practitioners and scientists to discuss approaches and successes in co-developing and transitioning innovative applied sciences for improved climate services while implementing open-source science principles.
