Strobe-X Article Published in SPIE Photonics Focus

Colleen Wilson-Hodge (ST12) was interviewed about her long-term role in developing the STROBE-X probe concept, which ties back to SPIE meetings and earlier mission concepts. The Spectroscopic Time-Resolved Observatory for Broadband Energy X-rays (STROBE-X) is an X-ray probe concept for the upcoming probe call. STROBE-X science focuses on black holes on all mass scales, multimessenger events, and the interior composition of neutron stars, using X-ray spectroscopic timing measurements. STROBE-X was awarded a NASA concept study in 2017.
