The Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 (HLS) team was invited to give a talk at the European Space Agency’s Living Planet Symposium 2022 on May 24, 2022. The presentation included high level status of the HLSS30 and HLSL30 data production, highlighted the migration of the HLS products to a cloud optimized data format as a pilot for future NASA data products and analysis and visualization platforms, and emphasized the importance of cross-agency collaboration and foresight as a reason for the success of HLS and a lesson for future harmonized products. The presentation was well received with more than 100 people in attendance and about 30 minutes of question and answer after the session concluded. Additional conversations were held with counterparts from ESA on their HLS counterpart and how we can collaborate in the future to ensure the success of both missions.
