IXPE successfully launched the early morning of 12/09/21. Hundreds of guests traveled to attend launch. Upon check-in at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Visitor Complex, guests received a launch gift bag, which included items such as an IXPE lapel pin, mission and NASA decal, IXPE fact sheets and coloring page. The evening of launch, guests were bused to view launch from Banana Creek or OSBII (VIP viewing location). The Marshall Space Flight Center provided banner stands and posters which were displayed set up prior to launch as part of the IXPE exhibits at OSBII and the KSC Visitor Center.
