A new paper titled “Optics for the Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer” by Brian D. Ramsey, Stephen D. Bongiorno, Jeffrey J. Kolodziejczak (ST12), Kiranmayee Kilaru (USRA), Cheryl Alexander (ST14h), Wayne H. Baumgartner (ST12), Shawn Breeding (ES22), Ronald F. Elsner (ST12), Shelley Le Roy (ESSCA), Jeffrey McCracken (JPL), Ikuyuki Mitsuishi (NU), Stephen L. O’Dell (ST12), Steven D. Pavelitz (ST14), Jaganathan Ranganathan (USRA), Javier Sanchez (ESSCA), Chet O. Speegle (ES23), Nicholas Thomas (ST12), Bruce Weddendorf (Weddendorf Design), & Martin C. Weisskopf (ST12) was submitted for publication in JATIS.  The paper is focused on the IXPE Mirror Module Assemblies and deals with all aspects of developing and building x-ray optics for a flight mission. This includes optimization of optical and mechanical design, thermal considerations, mirror shell production and module assembly, appropriate environmental testing and, finally, x-ray calibration.
