Lunar Surface Science Workshop Participation

Dennis Gallagher and Paul Bremner (ST13) participated in this virtual workshop hosted by the NASA Biological and Physical Sciences Division. The workshop was focused on fundamental and applied research on the Moon in physical sciences on 8/8-19/21. The workshop included an emphasis toward informing and inspiring the science community to contribute white papers for the Biological and Physical Sciences Decadal Survey. Gallagher’s interest was in the area of lunar dust properties and dust mitigation technologies that may relate to supporting research conducted in the MSFC Dusty Plasma Laboratory. Bremner’s interest included fundamental physics enabled by experiments on the lunar surface, such as gravitational wave observatories and what lunar interior properties we must constrain better to interpret signals captured by the observatory.
