Invited Panelist at the NASA Understanding SMD Needs for Data and Computing Workshop

Manil Maskey (ST11/IMPACT) was an invited panelist at the NASA Understanding Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Needs for Data and Computing Workshop. Maskey discussed user needs for multiple user groups within Earth science. Maskey also gave an overview of the new project Visualization, Exploration, and Data Analysis (VEDA) which is working to address said needs. The workshop was organized by the NASA Chief Science Data Office with the goal of identifying researcher's data and computing needs for the future. The technical discussions that followed the panel discussion focused on SMD's implementation of core services.
