The Reverse Image Query Search Interface that uses self-supervised learning algorithms SimSiam and SimCLR has been released for testing. The interface allows users to submit a query image and retrieve similar images from the image archive. The goal of the project is to minimize data preparation for analysis and study of Earth science events. So far, MODIS true color images from 2008 through the present have been indexed using the Global Image Browse Services (GIBS).
