SERVIR Applied Sciences Team (AST) Leads HydroSAR Training for Nepal

The AST Team led by Franz Meyer (University of Alaska, Fairbanks/ASF) provided a three-day workshop and training in collaboration with the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) / SERVIR Hindu Kush Himalaya, to introduce stakeholders to the HydroSAR service—including its HYDRO30 surface water extent and FD30 flood water depth products. The workshop also included an introduction to the step-by-step methodology for accessing the products and visualizations via a web-based application. Timothy Mayer of the SERVIR Science Coordination Office, Lori Schultz (NASA MSFC), MinJeong Jo (NASA GFSC), Joe Kennedy (ASF), and Jackie Smale (ASF) facilitated the training, with ICIMOD Team members Rajesh Bahadur Thapa, Sudip Pradhan, Poonam Tripathi, and Birendra Bajracharya.
