Marshall Hosts Brazilian Science and Space Leaders

Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) hosted a high-level delegation of leaders from the Brazilian science and space communities, 8/15-16/22, to mark recent and upcoming milestones for the Scintillation Prediction Observations Research Task (SPORT) mission, and to discuss cooperation and collaboration for Artemis.  During the two-day event, led by David McKenzie (ST13) and supported by members of ST13 Branch, Science Research and Projects Division, Science and Technology Office, OSAC, OIIR, UAH, and at least 9 other organizations across MSFC, leaders from the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, the Brazilian Space Agency Agência Espacial Brazileira, and the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica met for a series of discussions focused on collaborative contributions to the Artemis program. The highly productive visit included a tour of the US Space and Rocket Center and a demonstration of the Kinematic Navigation and Cartography Knapsack (NaCK) Lidar system on a rover at the MSFC Lunar Regolith Field.
