Linda Krause (ST13) was elected to the position of Director for Special Projects in the Greater Huntsville Section (GHS) Region of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). As an Associate Fellow of AIAA, Krause brings in a wide variety of scientific, technological, pedagogical, and programmatic expertise in space exploration that played a critical role in the election to this position.
The Greater Huntsville Section is one of the largest Sections in AIAA with over 1,200 professional, student, and educator associate members across the states of Alabama and Mississippi. As Director for Special Projects, Krause has a vision of conducting local and regional activities (e.g. star parties, ham radio field days) but also potentially international events (e.g., educational outreach to global refugees). The Special Projects committee (to be formed) will also make themselves available to assist other GHS committees with their activities on an as-needed basis.
