On April 23, 2022, members of the Chandra X-ray Observatory project at MSFC staffed an exhibit tent in support of the NASA Student Launch Challenge of 2022. The event was held at Bragg’s Farm in Toney, AL and hosted over 30 university and high school rocket launch teams. The Chandra tent was crewed by Libby Creel (ST14), Steven Ehlert (ST12), Jodi Turk (EV24), Robert Reilly (ST14), and Helen Cole (ST10). Chandra team members engaged many university and high school students from all over the United States, including those from historically diverse colleges and universities, while answering questions about Chandra science, operations, and about careers at NASA.
