The Facility Data Acquisition and Control System update at the X-ray & Cryogenic Facility has been completed. In 2020, Phase 1 of the update involved replacement of the programmable logic controllers. This recently completed Phase 2 activity involved the replacement of eleven input/output (I/O) remote racks which included a few thousand I/O points from the facility’s field devices. A facility operation to exercise all outputs and verify all inputs to FDACS was executed. Only a few dozen open items remain and are in work. This operation was also used to clear the punch list for the graphical user interface update which was completed earlier in the year.
