Michael Zanetti (ST13) and Renee Weber (MSFC Chief Scientist) took part in the NASA-UAH Von Braun Symposium on 10/13/21 as part of an hour-long panel discussion, Section 7 Crossroads: Intersecting Science and Exploration. Other panelists were Kathy Byars (ISS Science Ops), Les Johnson (NEAScout/Solar Cruiser), and Daniel Schumacher (former ST01 manager). Panel discussed the complementary nature of science and exploration through activities at MSFC. Zanetti presented work related to the Kinematic Navigation and Cartography Knapsack (KNaCK) LiDAR system, and Weber presented MSFC’s science strategy and Center activities related to lunar and planetary exploration.
