The Earth Observation Dashboard to study effects of slowdown caused by COVID-19 was highlighted in the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Space white paper (see page 13). The paper examines the role of satellites monitoring Earth systems in achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. The dashboard project, led by Manil Maskey of the Interagency Implementation and Advanced Concepts Team (IMPACT/ST11), includes greenhouse gas indicators which are keys to change in Earth’s climate. The white paper highlights the COVID-19 dashboard for the study of reduction in carbon dioxide (CO2) gas during the pandemic and also the collaboration across NASA, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), and European Space Agency (ESA).
