Participation in the 2021 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS)

Manil Maskey, Rahul Ramachandran, and Kaylin Bugbee (ST11) from the Interagency Implementation and Advanced Concepts Team (IMPACT) participated virtually in the 2021 IGARSS symposium. The symposium is the largest gathering of world-class scientists, engineers and educators engaged in the fields of geoscience and remote sensing. Maskey co-chaired two sessions entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Methods for Big Earth Data” and “International Cooperation to Visualize COVID-19’s Impact from Space II”. He also co-authored nine presentations. Kaylin Bugbee gave a presentation entitled ‘Enabling Discovery and Access Across NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (SMD)’ during a session on data processing, management and visualization and Ramachandran gave a presentation entitled “Augmenting Data Systems with Prediction Based Embeddings”.
