On 6/10/21, SERVIR hosted a ‘Women in SERVIR’ call featuring opening remarks from Marshall Space Flight Center (MFSC) Center Director, Jody Singer and a keynote address from Glenn Research Center (GRC) Center Director Marla E. Pérez-Davis. The Women in SERVIR telecon is a quarterly, internal call open to all genders that aims to create a space for engaging with issues related to gender and SERVIR. SERVIR’s gender activities include supporting women and girls in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and ensuring that SERVIR’s geospatial solutions benefit all of society. This call provided inspiration to the network from two influential women at NASA, and participants also heard about the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion to the NASA mission.
