The Brazilian Technical Institute for Aeronautics (ITA) is working on software development using the SPORT Engineering Model (EM), updating the SPORT Thermal Model and continuing to evaluate Thermal Balance Test results. They provided the first draft of the documentation to the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE) science laboratory (LIT) for the US instruments acceptance tests and for flight model (FM) integration. They continue assembling the FM printed circuit boards (PCB) and performing functional tests on the assembled PCBs. ITA is working with INPE to validate the X-Band link, for science data download, including data compression. All required paperwork is approved for shipping the US instruments to Brazil and the instruments will be shipped week of 5/3/21.
