Kaylin Bugbee Co-Convened Open Software Session at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly

Kaylin Bugbee (ST11) of the Interagency Implementation and Advanced Concepts Team (IMPACT) convened a virtual session on 4/28/21 at EGU entitled “Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and Cloud-based Technologies to Facilitate Collaborative Science.” The session explored how Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) and cloud-based architecture solutions support information sharing, scientific collaboration, scientific reproducibility and solutions that enable large-scale data analytics. The session was convened by Jens Klump (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation - CSIRO) and co-convened with Horst Schwichtenberg (Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithmen and Scientific Computing), Anusuriya Devaraju (Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network - TERN) and Wim Som de Cerff (Koninklijk Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut - KNMI).
